Heading into this Labor Day Weekend with a slight chill in the air here in New York. As I was going through some archival footage for transfer, I found this gem from Fox Searchlight Pictures and wanted to share it. Getting back to doing the daily release – sooo many great trailers out there – not enough days to get to them all!
It is such an amazingly funny and yet sad trailer cut by Michele Manning Duane at Motive. Michele nails the humor and the under-riding sad notes masterfully.

Seems like a season in everyone’s life, dealing with the death of a loved one and wonder what we knew about them let alone ourselves. I like both Jake Gyllenhaal and Naomi Watts as very capable actors, I wonder how this ever fell off me ‘watch list’. Welp it is back on now.
The use of Heart’s “Crazy on You” was a great choice to and comes it at just the right moment to pick up the pace of the trailer for a wonderful finish that has me pushing the “Rent” button tonight! Well done!
