Feb. 5th, 2024: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

In 1944, the first Captain America movie was released, starring Dick Purcell as Captain America. It was the first time a Marvel comic had been turned into a movie and as we ALL are well aware, it would not be the last.  And with 5,000 characters in the Marvel ‘character bible’  it will not be their last – hahahaha. But today we celebrate Captain America and a really strong trailer from them for Captain America: The Winter Soldier:

"Captain, to build a better world, sometimes means tearing the old one down. And that makes enemies."
Alexander Pierce
Secretary S.H.I.E.L.D
"This isn't FREEDOM, this is fear."
Captain America
Super Hero

From Dick Purcell’s early portrayal to Chris Evans’ iconic performance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain America has undergone a remarkable cinematic journey. The character’s evolution on the big screen reflects not only changes in filmmaking technology and storytelling but also the enduring appeal of a hero who embodies the best qualities of humanity.

As fans continue to celebrate Captain America’s legacy, it’s clear that his movies have left an indelible mark on the world of superhero cinema, reminding us of the enduring power of courage, honor, and selflessness.

The trailer makes it worth watching! Seems a whole lot of fear going around these days and not much freedom.
