If you asked me to tell you the first Irish movie to pop into my head, it’s going to be My Left Foot. The trailer for this film made me chuckle cause the first 30 seconds is all praise for how great Daniel Day Lewis is. The man deserves it, don’t get me wrong, but I kinda feel like we’re supposed to watch this little clip to become interested in the movie. Then as the trailer goes on, you realize all the voiceover is saying is how good the reviews for the movie were. Maybe my sense of humor is weird, but I find this trailer very comical.

I wanted some good clips of DDL’s acting chops, but I guess we’ll just have to go watch the movie to see it for ourselves. Which you should, if you haven’t– this is definitely on the list of classic films everyone has to see.
I had to include the trailer for this documentary cause I LOVE how raw and authentic it is. Nothing makes me happier than seeing genuine, good people in their environment.. just being themselves. Human nature is beautiful and we have so much to learn and appreciate about each other. The Irish Pub documentary is exactly what you think it is.

These people remind me of the southern hospitality I grew up around. Wow– imagine rednecks and irishmen sitting together in a bar. Now THAT’S a reality show I can get behind.
