In America & Brooklyn: Irish Immigration

Hello to everyone from self-quarantine! Whew, it’s crazy out here, right? Here’s to everyone that’s staying safe and staying indoors. Which is my favorite thing to do, so I write this with glee. Take a deep breath, y’all. We shall prevail. Now, to escape in some trailers..

We’re posting Irish trailers ALL week. Since St.Patrick’s Day Parade’s everywhere have been cancelled, we’re gonna help celebrate Irish culture with Irish films!

Let’s start with some wholesome content for everyone– we can all use some cuteness in this time of anxiety. In America shows us two Irish immigrant parents, grieving the loss of a child, while trying to survive in Hell’s Kitchen New York. Which is a feat all on its own, honestly..

I feel like kids are WAAAYY cuter with little Irish accents. Am I right or am I right???

Ah, Brooklyn. A young, Irish immigrant, girl torn between two immigrant men worlds apart. Even the trailer makes me wanna grab some junk food and some wine to stay in bed and watch it.

I also would really like for us to go back to guys asking girls to dance. As a young woman living in 2020, I can honestly say, that I’ve never had a boy ask me to dance.

Once the corona is gone, let’s talk about dancing together again.
