Yup, tis the season! And a more modern Christmas Classic is Daddy’s Home 2 … it hits all the right notes for a funny holiday movie! Even though the first one isn’t a Christmas Movie, I think I want to put that trailer up too.
First up though: Daddy’s Home 2 with Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell .. not your traditional comedy pairing but it is getting there …

And here is the first Daddy’s Home 1. A great line in the trailer is Mark Wahlberg telling a bedtime yarn and says “The Good King heard his dominion was being ruled over by a curly headed step king with good credit = hilarious! Great reference to the early credit score line from Will Ferrell. Check it out:

I wanted so much to watch these with my Father this holiday season but alas the lockdowns have made it impossible for me to get in and see him. I know he will find all three of these films super funny! The “thermostat scene” alone in Daddy’s Home 2 is well worth the price of entry! Every man in your family will relate to it!
And also when we were little, we went into the woods of Pennsylvania to cut our own Christmas tree. I swear they sent us off with a chainsaw. My father can only say a few words these days but when I try to get him to confirm or deny that story, he just laughs and laughs so I can’t verify my memory of tree farms sending us off with chainsaws. Doesn’t seem right but then again those were different times.
Actually these guys were in another comedy together. The Other Guys .. another great trailer – I don’t know why they don’t pair up in my head as a go to comedy duo but they should.

Maybe they get so into their characters that they become those characters. NAH. These two are larger than life and will always be their “real names” first and if you can remember their character names, then you have a gift!
And yes Will, The movie industry is completely irresponsible for the way they portray explosions!
